My Story
On The Spot Cuts & Styles provides expert haircut services to clients of all ages. Our team of licensed barbers, certified by the Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners, delivers exceptional and courteous service that exceeds expectations. We also offer mobile services to funeral homes, nursing facilities and group homes, as well as customized packages for weddings and other special occasions. With two locations and two mobile barber trucks, we strive to make a positive impact in our community, one haircut at a time.

Our story is led by Jamal Arnold, a licensed barber whose journey in the industry began in 1999. A proud graduate of Jett Barber College, Jamal's passion for the craft quickly evolved into a commitment to mentoring the next generation of barbers. Alongside his wife Shami, he co-founded Student 2 Masters Barber School—an institution devoted to reshaping industry standards by blending technical mastery with essential financial literacy and customer service skills. As Jamal often advises, "Gather as much information about barbering as you can, while also acquiring financial literacy and customer service skills," a philosophy that underpins every service we provide.
